About Mission Baltimore

The School of Ministry’s holistic approach to development and transformation is threefold.

First, students are challenged at the core of their character through an intense discipleship process which teaches that integrity is the brand of a Christ follower.  Our philosophy is that altar calls should lead to altered lives.  Additionally, students annually complete 24 credit hours of Christ centered, Bible-based collegiate classes through Patten University that sharpens their mind and affords them skills to be effective in the context of the 21st Century church and culture.

Second, students are challenged at the core of their relationship with God and with others in response to Jesus’ Great Commandment, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  Students are given life skills to enhance their communion with God and with man while learning to become a servant of all.

Third, students are placed in many diverse situations that affords them a well rounded experience through hands on ministry training.  It is the perfect incubator for the individual student to practice and evaluate what they have learned in the class room.  It is through this process of discovery that students begin to discover their God-given destiny and purpose and are encouraged to further develop and discover these passions.
